At 10:30 am on December 31, 1972, a knife-armed robber broke into a flat in Block 2 of Kwai Hing Low-cost Housing Estate (Kwai Hing Car Park today.) Having looted the tenant, he was about to leave when the tenant’s 26-year-old wife, Chou Mui-ying came home. Chou was extremely angry and rushed into the kitchen to get a chopper to confront him. The robber was defeated after being slashed several times in the legs. A neighbour heard the fight and called the police. The police arrested the injured culprit and sent him to the hospital for treatment.

1972年12月31日 早上十時半， 一名持刀劫匪闖入葵興廉租屋邨第二座一個住户，洗劫完戶主正要離去，剛好碰上戶主26歲的妻子周梅英回家，周極其憤怒，衝入廚房取菜刀與匪徒對抗，匪徒不敵，腿部被斬數刀而不支倒地。鄰居聽見打鬥後報警，警察到場將賊人拘捕及送院救治。
