Ko Wing Garden (A Collaboration with Sara Wong)
Mixed Media, 5 x 4 x 3m, 1995

It's exhibited very temporarily (only 3 days) in a show entitled "Space in Transition" (Chinese title "Model Unit"). In contrast to the short time, we tried to make things that looked permanent. We made a garden with dead branches and white flour. Around the periphery, I engraved 4 little triangles on the concrete floor. At the entrance of the space, I also chiseled the title Ko Wing Garden ("Withering-Blossoming Garden" literally in Chinese) on the floor. This reminds me the typical name for the local Chinese apartment house before the '70s.
