Talking Sky (2000),
specially produced for Shanghai Biennale, is a resting place for visitors
to "talk about sky" which means chatting literally in Chinese. As a wine
bar installation, the artist served wine in the opening. People could socialize
around the urbanscapes of Shanghai laminated on the table top. Four chandeliers
above each table were made in the same shape of the skyline below. Audience
can see its reflection overlaying its skyline. The video playing at the
corner is City Cookie of Shanghai which complements the lively situation.
